Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole has sacked the state’s Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Omorede Osifo.
Osifo, who assumed headship of the ministry about 11 months ago, was given red card after the governor felt disappointed about the state of facilities at the stadium.
Problem started for Osifo during a concert held Saturday night when Oshiomhole realised that inspite of monthly budget for the maintenance of facilities, the flood lights at the stadium was dysfunctional.
Another issue that angered the governor was the failure of the generator, among other things.
Oshiomhole, who could not hide his disappointment considering the amount of money pumped into the rehabilation and upgrade of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, showed Mrs. Osifo, a one time Commissioner under the PDP administration the way out.
