Anambra guber election inconclusive, says INEC

Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has refused to declare APGA’s Dr. Willie Obiano winner of Anambra gubernatorial election, which started on Saturday.
Though APGA had majority votes of 174,710, INEC says it did not meet the compulsory 25% of votes cast that is needed to be declared winner.
This was because the total numbers of cancelled votes was more than the difference between the numbers of votes cast for the winner and the runner up of this election according to the State INEC official who read the results at about 6am Monday morning.
The PDP had 94956 while the APC had 92300.
INEC said that there will be a supplementary election in the areas where election where cancelled, just as it enjoined politicians to give Peace a chance.
