Anambra Election: Ngige, Nwoye, Ubah join forces against Obiano

The trio of Dr Chris Ngige, Comrade Tony Nwoye and Dr Ifeanyi Ubah, candidates of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Labour Party, LP, respectively, have joined forces against the APGA candidate, Chief Willie Obiano, calling for outright cancellation of the Saturday governorship election in Anambra State.
Ngige, who was spokesman for the three candidates said that each of the candidate has written a separate letter to the Independent National Electoral Commissioner, asking that the result of the election be stepped down, and another convenient date be set out for the election.
Speaking with one voice, they said that the Resident Electoral Commissioner for Anambra State, Prof Chukwuemeka Onukaogu is a heavily compromised individual, who is known to be very partisan, and having affection for the APGA.
The flawed election register, the alleged collusion of security agents in the disenfranchisement of some voters and the distribution of money to the tune of N10, 000 per voter were some of the reasons given by the trio for the cancellation of the poll.
