The Peoples Democratic Party candidate in Saturday’s governorship election in Edo State, Charles Arhiavbere has expressed satisfaction with the process.
Arhiavbere, who was accredited at exactly 10:27am, at Garrick Memorial School, Ekenwan, Benin City, told journalists that although the accreditation exercise started late, he was happy there was tight security and decorum.
“So far, there is peace and decorum and most of the reports I have received from my people across the state are favourable. Those that are not favourable we are trying to correct.
“I am in this race to win and it is my expectation that I will win,” he said.
Meanwhile the alleged sex photographs of Governor Adams Oshiomhole, candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria, littered the Garrick Memorial School polling centre on Saturday.
Some of the voters who spoke with The Nation described the release of the pictures as “one of the desperate moves by the anti-Oshiomhole group to sway voters to their side”.
